Happy Independence Day!

I hope everyone enjoyed the July 4th fireworks like I did with my friends. We went out for dinner in formal wear (minus Cynthia), except we wound up going to Chinatown instead of the city. Everyone’s dresses were so pretty. Unfortunately, mine was totally see-through. -_- I couldn’t finish my dinner because the black pepper burned my mouth. T_T I am officially sick. Then we played some DDR and Wii at my place. I hope Roxana’s okay…

The five of us and my broken umbrella-ella-ella-ay~

Cynthia’s pimpin’

And I saw Wendy :D

Back to Kindergarten…

Man, 5 to 6-year-olds really suck a ton of energy outta you. Especially during their [extremely long] playtime. Running around and taking them to drink water or go to the bathroom every two minutes while getting yanked around left and right is really something. It’s hard to find the right balance between exerting my authority and meeting their wants. Strangely enough, today wasn’t as tiring as yesterday.

Too bad there’s little chance I’ll meet someone I like at CPC. It seems the people there are either not interested, currently datingsomeone else, or jailbait. T_T Even the guy with the lipring who reminds me of Miyavi. Well, back to Baruch I go. But maybe the reason why I hear about so many people hooking up in that elementary school is because the good sides of people really come out when they’re taking care of kids and you can’t help but find it cute.

Erm, anyway, I have a small update! (I know I said I wouldn’t have enough time for this, and actually I don’t, but…)

  • Tutorials - I added 2 tutorials: one on creating an icon texture and one on a light “effect.”

I was watching Tokyo Friend Park today with Ikuta Toma and Ohno Satoshi. They won like 4 TVs. xD The part where the broke the ball in the Wipe Out game was funny. I thought Toma would’ve done better in the “Wall Crash,” but Satoshi outshined him…kind of. I might watch Maou (it’s coming out tomorrow), but It seems like a dark drama and I want some comedy.

“Zettai Kareshi” Episode 11 Summary

Episode 11: Miracle

Night’s reformatting fails just as Riiko runs in to the Kronos Heaven lab. She makes a run for it with Night and Namikiri. Namikiri says he’ll fend off the bodyguards, but he gets knocked down to the ground. Night surprises the chief by going to help Namikiri instead of running away. Still, the chief tells Riiko that Night is a defective product and since he’s dangerous, he must be destroyed. But Riiko protests that Night is not dangerous; he was always there for her and he has a pure heart. She says she’ll never give him up and Namikiri begs the chief to change his mind. The chief finally tells Namikiri he’ll leave it to his judgment and Namikiri takes the bracelet off Night.

First day of work

So this morning I arrived very early for CPC and helped Ms. Sanders, the language director. I also became aquainted with Tina, who apparently knows Vincent and is the same age as me and goes to NYU Stern. Smart girl. Lois seems like a very nice person, too. ^^ Thank goodness today was a lot more interesting than yesterday’s orientation. The kids are very…rambunctious. But even though they get annoying sometimes and I really have to be patient when teaching them, they’re also quite adorable. :) Except so far they haven’t learned how to pronounce my name yet and instead of calling me Ms. Margaret, they say a bunch of weird words instead. Some of them can’t speak English very well, so luckily I know some Mandarin. Kindergarteners are quite violent these days, I’ve learned. It also seems like a lot of them have a degree of ADD, or maybe that’s just because I’ve always been a rather timid student (except when beating up boys during recess). Oh well. 7 hours didn’t really feel like 7 hours.

Thanks Ernest for the Hana Yori Dango photobook. I don’t think I’ll be scanning it since I love it too bend to bend it to death. If you want to see the pictures, I’m sure someone from livejournal has the full book scanned. =) Sorry!

Well, I’m off to watch the final episode of Zettai Kareshi now. Be back later with a summary and review!
