Making Banners
Want to know how to make a simple banner? Then follow this tutorial. :D

1. Select a picture. I used this one of Seungri.
2. Crop the image. My banners are generally 300 x 100 pixels, so I'll use that aspect ratio (you can set it as 3 in. by 1 in. at the top).

I try not to place the subject smack in the middle nor all the way off to the side to leave just enough room for the textures and text.

3. Now I select the texture I want to use, which will be this fractal (yes, my fractals are actually useful!).
4. Since the fractal is purple and I do not feel like changing its color, I will have to change the color of the Seungri base. Go to Layer > New Adjustment Layer > Selective Color and use these settings: Neutrals: 24, 17, -4, 0

5. Slap on that fractal and set the layer mode to 100% Screen. This part I will not be too specific about. It is up to you to transform the texture whichever you wish by going to Edit > Free Transform. Spin that fractal around however you wish. This is what I ended up with:

6. Erase the parts of the fractal that covers his face and then duplicate the layer and set it to 100% Soft Light. If it looks too grainy, blur the soft light layer by going to Filter > Blur > Gaussian Blur. Merge all layers.

7. Duplicate the merged layer and set it to 100% Soft Light.

8. Grab a soft brush tool, around 130 pixels, color #E2D5E7. Create a new layer 100% Screen and put a spot light right by his side.

9. Finally, I just added some cheesy text, sparkles (see sparkly brush tutorial), and an inside purplish border. Merge all and voila! you have a banner. ^^
