1. For this tutorial, we're going to use this picture of Lee Soo Young.

2. Sharpen the image by going to filter > sharpen > sharpen. Duplicate that layer twice by pressing Ctrl + J twice. Set the blending mode of the second layer to 40% Screen. Set the blending mode of the top most layer to 100% Soft Light. Then go to Layer > Merge Visible.

3. Go to Image > Adjustment > Curves and apply these settings:

5. Take this gradient by elasticknights and put it in a new layer. Set the blending mode to 100% Lighten.

6. Now you have this:

7. Duplicate the first layer (the image of Lee Soo Young) and move it to the top of the layer palette. Set the blending mode to 50% Soft Light.

8. Select this soft, round brush.

9. Make a new layer and apply the brush with color #910F0F until you get something like this:

10. Change the blending mode of the layer with the brush to 50% Screen. Duplicate it twice.

11. Go to Layer > Merge Visible. Now go to Image > Adjustment > Selective Color and apply these settings:

13. Create a new layer and use the same brush you used in step 8 but this time make it white (#FFFFFF). Apply it on the right side of the image.

14. Add some text and you're done!
