Learn how to create quick vertical light rays with one simple filter.
1. For this tutorial, I will use this base of Yamapi.
2. To accentuate the bright areas, I duplicate this layer and set it to 100% Soft Light. Then I go to Image > Rorate Canvas>
Rotate 90 degrees CCW. This will turn your image counter-clockwise.
3. Go to Filter > Stylize > Wind. Choose the "Wind" method and make it move from the right. Set this layer to 100% Screen.
4. Go to Image > Rorate Canvas > Rotate 90 degrees CW. Erase the parts on the top layer where the wind is clearly covering his face.
Merge both layers and you're done. =)
